How Quest Worldwide challenged a good company to become great
When the Philips Board of Management had communicated its new Vision 2010 to the financial community, it then had to engage the top 60 Philips leaders in the challenges and changes that they needed to lead in order to achieve the organisation’s ambitious goals. Quest was brought in to help shape and facilitate a dynamic Summit which would provide a valuable opportunity for the leaders to share insights, prioritise issues and commit to making the vision a reality. The outcome at the end of an intense three days was a new perspective and understanding of what it would mean to create a cohesive One-Philips.

How Quest Worldwide helped Philips achieve success with its Global Finance Conferences in 2003 and 2004
Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands is one of the world’s biggest electronics companies. In autumn 2003 Philips contacted Quest to request help to run its Global Finance Conference (GFC) for 70 key finance personnel across all five divisions worldwide. Quest proposed that the conference style should be innovative, visually impressive and participative, with few formal presentations, and worked with the Philips GFC planning team to develop a proposal covering strategic objectives, style, and a broad design for the two day conference. The 2003 GFC was a resounding success and Quest Worldwide subsequently helped Philips with their 2004 GFC. Participants were delighted with the energy, commitment and planning that were generated during both events.

How Quest Worldwide helped Philips Semiconductors to commit a thousand managers to renewing and revitalising their business around a new strategy and way of working
Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands is one of the world’s biggest electronics companies. In 2005 Philips Semiconductors developed a ‘Business Renewal’ programme that distilled a new strategy into actionable steps. The challenge then was to get senior managers and key opinion formers to buy-in to the need for radical change and become leaders, not just supporters, of the new way. Quest Worldwide was asked to help the Leadership Team to achieve this goal and developed, planned and supported a series of high impact events that were designed to work on both intellectual and emotional levels. An interactive voting system was used to measure ‘before’ and ‘after’ opinions – showing major shifts in views and commitment as a result of the events.

Quest Worldwide helped Philips stage a Global Summit which focused leaders on emerging markets
Royal Philips Electronics of The Netherlands is one of the world’s biggest electronics companies and Europe’s largest. Established in India and China for 75 years, Philips has a history of success in developing markets and the Philips brand is often perceived as local. Despite this, rapid growth of the emerging markets such as India, China and Russia prompted Philips to seek a way of re-focusing leadership attention on these markets. 160 Philip’s leaders were taken to New Delhi and immersed in the reality of a local market. Quest Worldwide supported the development of content for the event, working as joint event organisers with Jack Morton Worldwide. The three day event had a huge impact on perception and subsequent action. Philips veterans declared it as the very best global meeting where people were really engaged and worked together on real tasks which continued after the Summit.
