None of this is rocket science, but it does take experience, discipline and determination to see it through. People have an almost infinite capacity to contribute to success, yet so often we ignore this potential in favour of short-term gains that really just paper over the cracks. Involving people in any business is the surest way to deliver a strong, result-focused enterprise. After all, people will support what they helped to create.
Phil joined Quest as a principal consultant in 1999, having previously been the Group Director of Quality for Caradon plc, a £2 billion building products multinational.
At Caradon Phil helped to transform the operating environment of over 30 subsidiary companies by installing a change management process known as First in Service. Responsible for driving total quality in the group and ensuring its full integration, he advised and coached senior line management and established a worldwide quality forum to leverage knowledge and develop quality thinking and expertise. With considerable experience of techniques such as TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Accelerated Process Improvement, Phil has gone on to share this expertise and knowledge with a range of clients at Quest.
Phil began his career as production director for a subsidiary of Metal Box, managing four factories in East Anglia and starting a programme of culture change and empowerment which later became known as TQM.
Phil’s qualifications include a Degree in Geography from Birmingham University and Modular General Management Programme from Henley Management College
